- Asian handicap
- A betting line that gives one team a fractional goal advantage or disadvantage to level the playing field.
- Bankroll management
- The practice of deciding how much money to risk and how to size your bets to stay within your means.
- Bet slip
- The digital record that lists the selections you have made, the odds, and the stake for a bet.
- Bonus balance
- Funds in your account that come from promotions and can only be used for wagering, not withdrawn until requirements are met.
- Bookmaker margin
- The built-in profit a bookmaker includes in the odds, which ensures they earn money regardless of the result.
- Cash-out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Double chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, increasing your chance of winning.
- Edge
- An advantage you have over the bookmaker, usually calculated as a positive expected value.
- Expected value
- The average amount you can expect to win or lose per bet if you made the same bet many times.
- Free bet
- A promotional token the bookmaker gives you that can be used to place a bet, usually without using your own money.
- Handicap line
- A number set by the bookmaker to give a fictional advantage or disadvantage to a team for betting purposes.
- Juice
- The commission a bookmaker adds to the odds, which is their built-in profit.
- Lay bet
- A bet that a particular outcome will not happen, typically placed on a betting exchange.
- Line movement
- Changes in the odds or point spread that happen as more bets are placed or new information becomes available.
- Live betting
- Placing a bet after an event has started, with odds that change as the action unfolds.
- Market
- A category of bets on a specific event or outcome, such as the match winner, total goals, or player props.
- Odds
- The number that tells you how much you can win relative to your stake, reflecting the likelihood of an outcome.
- Over/Under

- Parlay

- Risk-free bet

- Spread
